The sound of being colorblind
I have been listening to colorblind from glee cast a lot lately. Simply a beautiful song with lyrics that speaks to me. I am adding the video here and hope you like as much as me.
Five wishes
An encounter at a party changed Gay Hendricks forever. A stranger asked him to imagine himself on his deathbed and to consider this question:
“Was your life a complete success?” If not, then “What would be the things you’d wish had happened that would have made it a success?” Hendricks said his deepest wish was for a loving, lasting relationship with a woman. The stranger said, “turn that wish into a goal, and put it in the present tense.” On the spot, Hendricks came up with this goal, “I enjoy a happy marriage with a woman I adore and who adores me. I enjoy a lifelong blossoming of passion and creativity with her.” This goal helped him create his marriage to Kathlyn, the date he’d taken to the party, and during the past 27 years they’ve become well-known relationship experts and co-authors of 9 books together. This short, focused book shows readers how to discover their own five wishes for a fulfilled life.

Five wishes is a wonderful book. Books CAN change lives, and this one did that for me. Today I sat down to think about what my five wishes are. I am still not completely sure what they should be, but I am starting to get an idea:
- Doing research on EMDR
- I love my boyfriend and am building a life with him
- Continuing writing my book and publishing it
- Writing songs
- I enjoy helping others and will interview people about kind things they have done
This list must still be worked on, but I am getting there. The next step is to pinpoint how I can continue following my dreams, and what I should focus on first.
What are YOUR five wishes?

Sing with me
Psychologists are supposed to be brave and anxiety-free. But I have a confession to make: One thing really makes me nervous. So what am I talking about?
Singing! I love to sing, and sing ALL the time. I even make my own songs, and have a inner diva that I don’t want to introduce to the world. But recently I’ve tried to challenge my fears, and for this reason I’m doing something that makes my heart beat wildly: I’m sharing a song with my readers. If you want to comment, feel free to do so. You don’t even have to be nice about it, honest feedback is appreciated. After all, how are we able to become better if we don’t know what we should get better at? If somebody has the app smule and want to sing together with me, I would be delighted.
So, I’m letting go of my fear to become free. Because if you love to do something, you just have to follow your heart, no matter how it terrifies you

Half of me
Have you ever felt split in two?
You know me. I’m the life of the party. Beautiful people around me, everybody falling in love
But that’s just the half of it
Rihanna- Half of me
We are wear masks. We hide parts of us that we think won’t be accepted. The funny thing is, when somebody else takes off that mask, especially people we admire, we feel relief and sympathy. When Rihanna was abused and released the pictures of her swollen face, her fans only gained more respect for her. She sings about her pain, and we wish we were brave enough to do the same. But we don’t dare, because we fear the consequences. What if people don’t like what they see? If they see the dark and ugly parts of us, that we so wish we didn’t have.
You saw me on the television
And I guess you saw me stealing, but you’ve got no idea what I’ve been through
That’s just the half of me
This is the life I live
Rihanna – Half of me
Stigma is like a cigarette burn, scarring us and stifling our need to feel free from the pain we keep inside. It leaves holes in our soul, and since we hide them, there is nobody there to fill them with their love. Some people hurt themselves physically or emotionally, some keep working until they almost burn out from exhaustion. Because taking time to ourselves, would mean that we have time to think and feel. And thinking feels dangerous, because maybe we will have to look our feelings instead of avoiding them. We are so scared of ourselves, until we are reminded of the fact that nobody is perfect. Everyone have things they rather hide, and if we only knew that, maybe we could take off our mask, and show our different faces. Because behind the scared and angry parts of us, lies the parts of us we miss. The face full of love, volnerable and beautiful.
We are beautiful, no matter what they say. Words can’t bring us down.
Christian Aguilera – beautiful
Maybe you shouldn’t work so hard on splitting your good sides from the bad ones. Doing so takes a lot of energy that could have been used however you want. By opening up to the world, by letting the can of worms free, you can finally dig yourself out of the grave of sorrow.
One of me is stronger. One of me is wiser. One of me is a fighter. And there is a thousand faces of me.
So I’m gonna rise up
I’m gonna rise up
For every time you broke me
There’s an army. Army of me
Christina Aguilera – Army of me

Good afternoon!
Today I` going on a musimc quiz, and to prepare I`ve listened to music the whole day.
We have a lot of brilliant artists in Norway, but normally they don`t manage to get famous abroad. That is why you probably haven`t heard this song by Susanne Sundfør, that I have listened to for three months now. I`m still not tired of it.
What do you think?
