Sing with me

Posted on

Psychologists are supposed to be brave and anxiety-free. But I have a confession to make: One thing really makes me nervous. So what am I talking about?

Singing! I love to sing, and sing ALL the time. I even make my own songs, and have a inner diva that I don’t want to introduce to the world. But recently I’ve tried to challenge my fears, and for this reason I’m doing something that makes my heart beat wildly: I’m sharing a song with my readers. If you want to comment, feel free to do so. You don’t even have to be nice about it, honest feedback is appreciated. After all, how are we able to become better if we don’t know what we should get better at? If somebody has the app smule and want to sing together with me, I would be delighted.

So, I’m letting go of my fear to become free. Because if you love to do something, you just have to follow your heart, no matter how it terrifies you

Don’t we all love to sing? It’s such a shame not all of us are gifted with a good voice. Haha

That’s such a beautiful reminder! Who knows, it might turn out better than you expected. Don’t be afraid to sing and show your talent to the world! Life is short, better enjoy it while we can and just do things we’ve always wanted without hesitation.

I really hope so 🙂 Singing is so important to me, and today I booked an appointment with a singing instructor. Can`t wait !

Singing can be therapeutic. I also love to sing. I used to join a choir but, lately, I am more confined at home and I do my singing in the bathroom. Thanks for the reminder of facing our fears. Sometimes, our self-preservation gets the better of us that limits us in showing our talents to the world.

No matter if you sing in the bathroom or in a choir: If it makes you happy, I`m happy 😉

Love this encouraging post! I love to sing — I sing almost all the time! To the point that my bf thinks I’m crazy. haha But i have long conquered my fear of singing in front of an audience. The first one was in highschool, and then in college. Right now, I am lying low with singing in public. haha Keep singing!

Life begins outside of our comfort zone. Good luck on the singing. you’ll never know what you can do until you try.

We all have fears whether it be big or small, the good thing is that you’re facing yours. I’ll check out your song and I’m sure it’s amazing.

I have actually shared a song or two on Youtube, but I do not share the video on any of social media accounts. Haha! Let whoever finds it suffer through it. 🙂

Fear of the unknown is a greater setback to humanity. No harm in trying things out rightly regardless of the consequences. It pays to face your fears.

I love singing too! One of my greatest fear would probably be being underwater, even with a whole suit and helmet gear on.

Maybe post a yotube video of your singing next time? To document your progress and share your talents!

Haha, I definitely prefer singing to having a whale or shark behind me! I can’t sing for nuts and I am definitely scared of performing in front of an audience…

I have to admit that singing is not my strong point. I do love to listen to music though – sometimes at least – and yes, there is at least a song for any mood 🙂

Agree with you, sometimes FEAR can make us more motivated in doing things we don’t like to do because we are afraid it will harm us at the end. My biggest fear is to talk in front of hundreds of people, but because everyone is calling my name, cheering me up..I don’t have no choice but to go in front and give a speech.
